Waste

Acrylic and Water Colour

Discarded from less abstract bodies of work, these paintings reveal the leftovers of materials no longer necessary in a separate creation. The merge of colour and texture present many narrative possibilities surrounding the form of its primary source. Whilst entwined with another hidden form, the paintings stand in their own right as something deliberately abstracted with a less fixed agenda than their relative. The work aims to reveal the deeper and more fluid interpretation able to be represented by something more modest, that would otherwise have been washed away from the pallet.
