Leaves of East London

A Photogram Series

In the absence of small organisms, surrounding habitats reveal traces or their once being. Leaves in particular mark curious patterns, outlining feasts once enjoyed, and a temporary resting surface. During colder months, the leaves are all that remain as evidence of their once being life amongst the soil, and they too begin to fall. This series of photograms aims to immortalise the stories read my markings on fallen leaves, soon to be decomposed before the cycle begins once more.
